To achieve the sinking behaviour of the K+ Sinking it is made with the highest mineral density which means it holds the most potential for biofilm growth and due to its rougher surface it’s got very strong mechanical performance as it grips onto particles. It’s actually one of our strongest medias but with it being sinking restricts it to certain setups as people rarely use downflow, but if you can find a place where K+ Sinking might work it’ll perform incredibly well in both Biological and Mechanical performance.
